Wines from artisan winemakers, organic and biodynamic... Our estate (1 star) and our wines have been listed in the Guide de la Revue des Vins de France (the "Michelin" Guide for wine) since 2007. Find the ratings in the "Wines" menu.

Family history, from the creation of the AOC Vin de Savoie, to biodynamics and natural wines
It was our father Alexis Berthollier, one of the founders of the Vin de Savoie Protected Designation of Origin , who, in the 1970s, focused the farm's activity solely on growing vines. We took over and began by clearing old abandoned plots on steep hillsides, and planting the Roussanne grape variety there. From this, our Chignin-Bergeron vintages were born, white wines with a promising future. A few years later, new steps were taken with the conversion of the entire vineyard to organic, then biodynamic, farming.
All our Savoie wines

The terroir and the peasant gesture in a glass
All our Savoie wines are vinified without sulfur, with just a small addition at bottling if necessary. Long aging, in vats, barrels or amphora, is favored, and plot-specific expressions are essential. Our white wines, our Chignin, Chignin-Bergeron and Roussette , are characterized by fruity notes, sometimes exotic, always balanced by a minerality specific to each plot. As for the reds, the Mondeuse or the Persan , the expressions of red fruits and spices dominate and their fine and tannic structure make them wines with low alcohol and very digestible.

Native Savoyard grape varieties
It is in Chignin, a small town in the Savoie department, between Chambéry and Albertville, that our vineyard is located, cultivated entirely using organic and biodynamic farming. The grape varieties give pride of place to indigenous grape varieties such as Jacquère, Altesse, Mondeuse, without forgetting Bergeron (our Roussanne from the Alps).
And other forgotten grape varieties
rescued from the depths of the Savoyard valleys by a few ampelography enthusiasts. From these grape varieties we replanted the Persan and the Bia Blanc. Not to mention the Jacquère Noire (also known as Courcette de Chignin) of which we found a last specimen in one of our oldest plots...
Our white wines from Savoie
They talk about us

The vintage | Sel de Marius 2020
" The two men have been running an estate established by their ancestors since 1850 and here pay a flamboyant tribute to their grandfather Marius. When you drink it, the desire to share it is immediate. A light red, comforting with its natural taste reminiscent of the smell of homemade syrup or a fresh red fruit tart.”

The vintage | Le Persan 2020
"Their Persian harvested on September 17, it was entirely destemmed "to be more pleasant" so as not to add harshness to its solid natural constitution. Vinified without sulfites, then aged in vats and amphorae , it has an opaque purple color with violet highlights and reveals a floral and fruity character, peony, poppy, blackberry and blackcurrant."

The vintages | Chignin-bergeron
"The Bergerons presented are neither lacking in intensity nor in brilliance: suggestion of pineapple and almond milk for La Coulée de Proserpine 2020, immediate and lively; honeyed and spicy richness of the Exception 2019 terroir blend, more invigorating but still carried by acidity; finally Les Salins 2019, our favorite, subtly honeyed, rich, pure and exemplary dynamic.
