For this vintage plot, by definition, the PLACE makes all the difference. This PLACE is 2 plots of approximately 30 ares (3000m²) each, in the places called Les Côtes and Les Châteaux-Montagny in Chignin, located on the same schistose "kidney". This kidney, nestled between the hillsides of the Savoyarde and the valley floor, in addition flanked by its old medieval towers and its St Anthelme chapel, is noticeable from afar. Exposed south-southeast, on a gentle slope, it benefits from the first hours of sunshine, while remaining sheltered from cold air currents and frost. But it is certainly the geology of the site which is the most favorable point: schists covered with a layer of clay varying from 30 centimeters to 1 or 2 meters.

The Madonna of the Vines watches over the vineyard, beneath the round of the jackdaws of the Towers of Chignin, which are attracted by the greed of a few earthworms, when the plough "cavaillonne" and "décavaillonne".
