On June 26, 2023, the Comité Interprofessionnel des Vins de Savoie invited all winegrowers from Savoie and Haute-Savoie to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Vin de Savoie Appellation. The event took place in the sumptuous setting of the Château de Tresserve on the shores of Lake Bourget, in the presence of numerous local elected officials and representatives of the Savoyard wine industry (Mr. Richel, president of the Syndicat Interprofessionnel des Vins de Savoie, and Mr. Cavaillé, president of the CIVS). Around 600 guests gathered around 7 p.m. to share this moment of celebration and conviviality.
After speeches by elected officials and representatives of the industry, guests were able to enjoy a huge buffet and taste numerous Savoie wines that had been kindly offered by winemakers from each region of the appellation.
The evening ended with a fireworks show in the courtyard of the Château, and of course with the birthday cake and candles.
